Quick search
The dynamic table (matrix) below allows a quick and simple search on the EDIOS data. The table shows the range of variables and the geographical coverage of the stations / data series, that are described in the EDIOS directory at a glance. The intensity of the coloured squares (see the legend below the table) indicates the number of stations / series per country and/or per main sea-area (horizontal axis) where the chosen variable (vertical axis) has been collected.
Clicking on a coloured square activates a query for that specific combination of variable and geographical area and the query results are presented in the EDIOS map interface.

Full Search:
Apart from the Quick Search option, the EDIOS directory can by queried by using the versatile Full Search option, which enables the user to perform queries in a combination of alphanumeric and geographical criteria, fully supported by an integrated mapping application.

Global Programs:
The EDIOS Directory has a focus on ocean and marine observing systems operating in Europe. The current status and further detailed information relating to operational data collected under global programmes, for example, Argo, DBCP, GLOSS and SOOP is available from the JCOMMOPS website.
